Ever have one of those nagging fandom questions? You know, it’s not like the lack of an answer detracts from your enjoyment, but you’re just curious. It’s never addressed, and you’d like to know. Well, sometimes you and your friends just throw theories around and that’s the end of that. But sometimes you post those questions on the internet and the co-creator of Back to the Future shows up to give you a definitive answer.

The challenge should I choose to accept it, and I did, obviously, is to say things I like about myself.

It took all day and some liquid vodka but these are the things I can appreciate in myself. (I said in myself, but don’t worry- I won’t use the word vibrator at all during this post). Sorry.

  • …I have a hard time saying nice things about myself too. I spent most of a therapy session to come up with a list of maybe five things. Also, your taste in shoes is amazing.
The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it’s indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it’s indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it’s indifference.” - Elie Wiesel
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” - Dr. Seuss

Me and Mia are watching this.
If you don’t know what this is, I’m afraid your childhood toys were kind of invalid.

I loved this movie as a kid. I always wanted to try that waffle sandwich thing she makes at the beginning of the movie.

Guess who got her first manicure?

Hasn’t stopped smiling for 20 minutes.

So cute. Your children are adorable.

And my boobs just decided they want to be Brooklyn Decker when they grow up.

Mine can’t decide between Brooklyn Decker or Marisa Miller.

Some days it is really hard to be so far from my family and friends. I grew up in the suburbs of Seattle, but am currently living in NoVA, which is where my husband grew up.

I do not get along with my MIL. This wouldn’t be a problem if I was just dealing with her on holidays and as Grandma, but I also have to deal with her as a caretaker for my children. It hasn’t been easy.

She doesn’t like me and thinks that everything I do as a parent is wrong. She also acts like she has the right to do whatever she wants with my children, without asking. She just assumes it’s okay. Or she doesn’t care if it’s okay.

It’s frustrating that she likes to tell people that she watches her grandchildren, and implies that it’s out of the goodness of her heart. It’s not. We pay. her. We’ve always paid her. She also likes to tell people that we just dump our boys on her. A) She is paid to watch them on a daily basis, and regularly wants one-on-one time with Gabe.

I realize that she is like this with most people. She talks badly about the mothers of every child she has ever watched, every short-lived employer she has ever had has been out to get her, and she doesn’t talk to the majority of her (eleven!!!) siblings.

Which is fine. She doesn’t have to like me. But she should at least respect me as the wife of her son and the mother of her grandchildren. I’ve been around for seven years, I’ll be around for at least seven more. I’m not going anywhere.
